Why giclee prints?

Giclee printing is a superior printing method to other processes that are more complex and less cost effective - such as traditional silver prints or dye based technologies.

Giclee prints are rich in colour with vibrant tones and offer excellent colour accuracy and better permanence than lab prints. They have a superior range of natural-looking grey tones with three densities of black that create striking black and white output with a high contrast ratio, perfect tonal range without colour casting.

Giclee printing is perfect for artists who do not find it practical to mass produce their work, but want to reproduce their art as needed, or on-demand. Once you have the digital file, additional reproductions can be made with minimal effort and reasonable cost.

The prohibitive up-front cost of high volume production for an edition is eliminated so you can start selling your work immediately.

Digital files will not deteriorate in quality as traditional film inherently does. Another great advantage of giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media, giving the artist the ability to customize prints for a specific client.

With a wide choice of media ranging from 100% cotton rag papers to heavy weight gloss baryta papers, Giclée printing is perfect for Photography, Illustrations and fine art. Using archival papers and pigment inks you can expect your giclée prints to last up to 100 years on display & 200 years in dark storage
